Clinical and radiographic evaluation of minimally invasive plate osteosynthesis (MIPO) in dogs with tibial fractures

The aim of this study was a clinical and radiographic evaluation the minimally invasive plate osteosynthesis (MIPO) method for treatment in dogs with tibial fractures. Ten different breeds, ages, sex fractures were used as subjects. A medial approach to tibia all cases. tuberosity palpated proximally short incision made along midline. After reduction fracture, proximal distal insertion incisions tibia. mean times MIPO operations 21 minutes. patients able stand walk postoperatively on first day recovery rapid dogs. fracture healing completed 45 based evaluations these Dogs treated by healed rapidly without any complications (90%).
